Preparing for your flea treatment

Please do these before we arrive. Good preparation makes treatment far more effective.

  1. Treat your pets first. Have your cats and dogs treated with a vet-recommended flea product a day or two before we visit, so they don't bring fleas back in.
  2. Wash pet bedding and fabrics. Wash pet beds, throws, cushion covers and any bedding your pets use at 60°C, or tumble dry on hot.
  3. Clear the floors. Pick up toys, shoes, clothes and anything stored under beds or sofas so we can treat every part of the floor.
  4. Vacuum thoroughly. Vacuum all carpets, rugs, sofas, under furniture and along skirting boards, then empty the vacuum straight into an outside bin.
  5. Put away pet bowls and food. Remove pet food, water bowls and children's toys from the rooms being treated.
  6. Cover fish tanks. Cover fish tanks and switch off their air pumps during treatment.
  7. Plan to be out during treatment. People and pets should stay out of treated rooms until the treatment has dried, usually 5 to 6 hours.

After treatment: keep vacuuming every day but don't wash or shampoo carpets for 14 days. You may still see a few fleas for 2 to 3 weeks as eggs hatch and come into contact with the treatment. This is normal.

Flea control in Ealing: great value, fixed price

If you've found fleas at home in Acton, Southall or anywhere else in Ealing, we can help. Our flea treatment is a fixed £180, paid as you go.

Ealing Council doesn't appear to provide pest control for homes, so residents in Acton and Southall need a private service. Our flea treatment is a fixed £180, with the price shown upfront. On average Ealing Council deals with about 1,273 pest problems a year (for council tenants), 38% below the London average.

Common signs of fleas include small dark specks on pet bedding and bites after sitting on the sofa. Treating your pet alone rarely works, because most fleas are developing in the carpet. We treat carpets, floors and soft furnishings with professional insecticides and advise on treating your pets at the same time.

Prices quoted are for a single treatment at £180. That covers up to 3 rooms, with extra rooms at £60 per room. Call us to book flea control anywhere in Ealing.
